A written dental warranty is not a marketing phrase — it is a legal obligation. It means that if something goes wrong within the warranty period, the clinic is obliged to fix it at no cost to you. This article explains what is covered, how long it lasts and how to use it — even if you live in Germany.

What is a written dental warranty?

It is a document you receive when leaving the clinic — in written form, with your name, description of the work and warranty period. It is not a verbal agreement. It is not "we will take care of it". It is a document you can use.

BeoSmile provides a written warranty on all implants and prosthetic work. Warranty periods are defined by type of work.

What does the warranty cover — and what does it not?

Covered:

  • Material defects (cracking, breaking without external impact)

  • Workmanship errors (poor crown fit, incorrect colour)

  • Technical errors in cementation or placement

  • Implant failure (osseointegration failure)

Not covered:

  • Damage from falls, impacts or accidents

  • Changes resulting from poor hygiene maintenance

  • Modifications made by another dentist

  • Normal lifespan (e.g. natural veneer wear after 15+ years)

Frequently asked questions

What is the warranty period for implants?

Straumann and Neodent by Straumann implants come with a written 10-year warranty. The warranty covers material and workmanship defects. Implant failure is very rare — the success rate of Straumann implants is 98%+.

What happens if a crown or veneer is damaged?

The warranty period for prosthetic work (crowns, veneers, bridges) is 5 years. In case of damage from normal use, we carry out the repair or replacement at no additional cost. Damage from falls, impacts or misuse is not covered by the warranty.

How do I use the warranty if I live in Germany?

Contact us via WhatsApp or email. Describe the problem and send photos. We assess the situation and organise the next step — online advice, a visit to your local dentist, or a return trip to Belgrade.

Does the warranty apply if another dentist treats me?

The warranty only applies to work we have done. If another dentist changes or modifies our work, the warranty ceases to apply to that part. For routine hygiene and check-ups at your local dentist — the warranty is not affected.
